I bought and installed this dryer vent hoping for a better flapper seal in the winter. We hit 22 below last night and no frost built up on the dryer duct where it enters the house, unlike the plastic dryer vent, which always resulted in frost at warmer temps.

Was having a lot of air come back into the house with my plastic multi louvered vent. This door seals much better. Also, it seems to allow more air to pass through it. Hoping that will decrease drying time.

Stucco is around the vents from the bathrooms so removing the existing plastic vents isn'tr ealistic. I pushed the collar into the existing vent hole. Holds it securely so I didn't use any screws. It is secure enough that I caulked around the back, then the sides. Also pumped caulk into the screw holes to act as an adhesive and to keep bugs from getting into the holes. The run is about 14 feet of rigid metal ducting with one 45 and vent responds as in the picture.

It’s extremely well made (heavy duty), it doesn’t protrude too far out from the wall. My critique is with the backside of the vent isn’t long enough to extend from the exterior wall into the interior wall, and its opening is sized to accommodate a male connection to a 3-inch aluminum duct. It would be nice if there were two versions which would accept either a male or female end of existing ductwork. With that said I’m extremely happy with this product.

This replaced an old plastic vent that was always getting jammed up with lint. This new vent installed easily and is working well. We will keep checking it over time, but so far it is doing the job.

The vents are well built. The magnets are just the right amount to keep closed when not in use. No birds, no pests, etc. Easy to remove 1 magnet for a bathroom vent to work properly. Bought 3.

Very robust and high quality. Pay a little extra for this great vent. After years of cheap plastic replacement vents, I wish I had found this product much sooner!

This is the best vent available.The design, materials of construction, and method of operation are top notch and it's a great buy. The seal against backdraft and "critter" entry is wonderful. Service by Roofing Direct is top notch!

We installed this with the close 90 and dryer box 625. The installation was pretty easy once we reconfigured the wall to accommodate things. Keep in mind we are remodeling a building into a house and have done extensive modifications, so there was wood where this needed to be mounted. We are in a deep freeze right now, my Son noticed that even though the pipe is not connected inside we still were not getting significant back draft. Great set of products!!

The weather has been too bad to install your product but overall it looks very well made. I am sure it will work well.

The metal construction on this vent is heavy gauge, and nicely powdercoated. The brown color is a little orange compared to most chocolate brown architectural colors. Rigid aluminum duct fit nicely into the vent making installation easy.

After finishing our laundry room years ago, I finally found a worthy replacement for the standard, cheap wall vent for our dryer. The Dryerbox wall vent is a well engineered and easy to install item that works like a dream and looks good too. I would absolutely recommend this to a friend.

Always hated the ugly vent on a very visible section of my house. Saw this in a magazine and am very happy with the quality of the vent. The last wall vent I will need for my house. Easy to install and seals great when not in use.

Bought two of these for my dryer and bathroom fans. Both installed easily. I live in a very windy area so Rick sent me a few extra magnets for the bathroom vent to keep it from opening. It's way better than anything at the big box stores!

This is a far better product than you can get at the big box stores. You will not have any insects or rodents entering your dryer vent. The tolerances are right on the money, so no cold air entering your home when not in use. It will save you money and it looks great.

It looks great and was easy to install. Since it is metal, you can screw it into the wall for a solid mount. I know I won't have to think about my dryer vent again.

Well made, ingenious yet simple design is effective at keeping critters out, great value. Came quick. Easy for homeowner to install. Even though I have lots of construction experience, your installation video was quite helpful! Really should be in all construction supply stores for new installations as well as for replacements.

The Metal Dyer vent works very well and the magnets keep it closed - the metal is very solid - I like things that are quality made and just work as they should - that's what this vent does and is!

This dryer vent far exceeded my expectations. It is very well built and much nicer than anything I was able to find in the big box stores. It also looks good. In my opinion, well worth the price.

This is a well built product. Simple is design but great functionally. Will recommend to everyone I can. Have built houses for sometime and now we do energy retrofits. This one is on our listfor every job from now on. Will be ordering more...

It's hard to get excited about dryer vents. Who cares. But- It's not plastic. Should last a long time. It works great.

Way better than Big Box PVC ! The only thing better would be stainless steel, that would be premium plus !

A very well-constructed vent which I hope will survive the Labrador puppy's chewing phase better than the plastic one originally installed. He went through two of those.
