Model 425 Dryerbox

by Jeremy| 2/23/2015 12:00:00 am

The dryer box came just as described, I am adding a new laundry room in my basement and thought this item was a great idea. The installation was fast and easy, the metal frame is strong and does not flex too easily so if you can only screw it on one side and the bottom it is strong enough to stand firmly. I would strongly recommend this product.

Model 425 2X6

Installed easily into existing wall. Finished nicely and would do again. The tab to hold the vent pipe until secured is a very nice touch and shows the care that goes into this product.

nice design

Happy with this - put this in my 2x6 wall - of course my dryer does not "line up" to the vent! Poor planning - hindsight is always 20/20. So with my 90degree bends and 4" extension and another 90degree bend to the dryer my dryer is sitting almost 8" away from the wall. Need a 4" circle/oval 90degree boot - having trouble finding it. May decrease my clearance by 2" or so. But the Dryer box itself is great. Good idea and my venting is safely in the wall. I have the lint trap about 20" above and then the exhaust out the house about 3' from there.

This is one of those products that has been needed in the building industry for a long time. We've had washer boxes for a neat and easy installation and the dryer box now gives us the same option. They work great and I'll be using them from now on. I'm even going to retro fit one into my own house.

Sturdy gauge - nice and rigid. Installs easily. The bottom is shaped for meeting the floor but it is closed so it works for mounting higher up on the wall (for pedestal dryer). I might attach an L metal across the bottom to support the drywall.

I have installed several of these boxes in remodeling projects and new construction. They easily install. The finished product leaves the hook up flush with the wall. If you have a gas dryer it also provides a knock out for the gas line. The hose will completely "disappear" inside the box when the dryer is pushed against the wall. No more dryer being 4" out from the wall and the hose is protected from being damaged inside the box.

Installed two of these in rehabs and you can't go wrong. You found a winner in this product.

The dryer boxes are great! We installed one of them in each of the three laundry rooms at the charity cabin project at Camp Belzer (Boy Scout Camp). We decided to install them for three main reasons: • Save Space • Reduce Risk of Fire • Increase Efficiency • Provide Sturdy Connection for Exhaust The dryer box is a great product and I will continue to recommend them. Thank you!

Provides nice, finished look

Love the look and durability of this product. The size of the box allows for a clear connection that won't get pinched in a crowded laundry room. Great product and fast shipping. Thanks.

I use the dryer box in all new construction, it really works well and adds a little extra for the customer, it adds usable space in laundry room while keeping hose out of the way.

I have been using the dryerbox system for several years now. This provides a clean and simple to terminate your dryer vent and allowes for an easy and efficient way to connect the flexible hose. This is a great product that I will continue to use in all of our remodels.

The model 425 worked very well. The 4" dryer pipe slid right in with very little effort. The edges of the unit have holes which I screwed right into oneof the studs. Ready to sheetrock now.

The way to go

This is my 2nd Dryerbox installation. I also used the gas port this time, and I mounted the unit mid-wall for a stackable LG washer/dryer. The quality is great and the value is the best.

Works for me

by JP| 3/9/2012 12:00:00 am

I am a homeowner, not a contractor. Put this in for a laundry room remodel by myself. Easy to use and will make connecting to my dryer much easier than before. My dryer will be closer to the wall now too, since the connection box sites inside the wall. Worth the price.

Wonderful!

I purchased this item and I am nothing but impressed. I just wonder why everyone doesn't do his is their new construction home. I have a nice size laundry room but was so excited for my dryer not have to stick out another 8 inches from the wall to account for that hose. I have recommended this to my builder that he start using this from here on out. Nice inexpensive upgrade!
