DryerPlacard - A Simple, Permanent Label Solution
The 2018 International Mechanical and International Residential Code now requires a permanent label showing a duct run's equivalent length. DryerPlacard is the recognized solution that meets code requirements and makes it easier to use the dryer manufacturer's maximum allowed run-length. Made to last, the 3" X 4" DryerPlacard is thick velvet-textured 3M Scotchcal™ 3650-10 substrate with pressure sensitive Hi Tack adhesive that permanently sticks to a wide variety of surfaces, including low energy surfaces such as plastics and powder coated paints. This label is generally applied on the baseboard or wall in proximity to the wall outlet or in the Dryerbox receptacle, if one exists.

Dryer Vent Card for Home
by HomeOwnerNJ| 9/26/2012 12:00:00 am
My town now requires this for any new builder inspection to pass for the dryer vent location along with the dryer tube being solid (no accordion style) and no screws only metal tape. Hard to find. Glad you guys had it! Thanks for the fast shipping too!

Dryer Vent Placard

When an inspector on my job requested that I have a dryer vent placard located at the vent connection in the building to pass the final inspection, I had no clue what he was talking about. This was the first time I had ever heard of such code. The inspector told me I could find the placard at my local supply house so I thought no big deal. Well, I checked everywhere! No one even knew what I was talking about. I even went to Grainger to search thier catalog and to no avail. After doing an online search and ordering it from this site, I was a little bummed because I wouldn't be able to get the final anytime soon being that I would have to wait for it to be shipped. The placard showed up in the mail just two days after ordering. It was of high quality and I could never be more satisfied!

Great Product...We were having a hard time finding a product to meet the newly effective code here in Florida and this great product was the answer. Low cost solution and easy to install(Peel and Stick)and the 3M adhesive appears that it will hold for years to come. I also asked for literature to be sent with the product and I was happy to see good information was delivered...great customer service with a great product.
Just what we needed

The local building inspector is requiring a dryer installation with more than 25 feet of total combined run to be posted with a notification so that when the dryer is replaced the new unit will be purchased with a booster fan and these place and stick labels will provide that notice at the dryer location.

We found this label, ordered it & all our technicians love it!! We knew mechanical inspectors were going to be checking us on dryer lenghts due to changes in mechanical codes & these labels came at just the right time for us. They look great and are easy to install. I would highly recommend them!!
