5 star rating

by Brent| 7/24/2013 12:00:00 am

I recently installed the Dryerbox 425 in a laundry room remodeling project. I would easily rate the Dryerbox 425 a 5 out of 5 stars and I would also rate the customer service I received from In-O-vate another 5 out of 5 stars. This product was the crowning touch to a safe and secure venting system for my dryer..

Basement remodel

by justyn| 8/28/2012 12:00:00 am

This is one of the reasons box stores might be a thing of the past at some point. Everything they carry that is somewhat like the dryerbox is junk, and for the same price. I'm glad I got the dryerbox. It is MUCH more solid and useful. It is actually made of metal! How bout that?! Anyway, it is a solid product for sure.

Beautiful product

by Bob| 2/24/2015 12:00:00 am

I'm moving my laundry room to the basement and was able to fit the 2x6 version into a 2x4 wall just due to the fact that the studs are not right up against the concrete walls. Installed perfectly - I love the little tab that grabs the vent pipe. A small but very handy feature.

Every home should be equipped with these dryer boxes. This excellent product solves the old dryer-to-wall connection problems of yesteryear! These solid, well-made, dryer boxes should be a requirement in all homes, now there is no excuse for not having the best.

Very nice product, esp. if you're going up with the vent.

Could not have met code without this

by Barry Smith| 6/26/2013 12:00:00 am

This is a great product. My wife and I are currently building a new home (building it ourselves) and the laundry room is on an interior wall. Only when we started to run the dryer vent did we discover the difficulty in meeting the 35' length limit, especially after subtracting 5' for every (we had 3) 90 degree elbow. The solution: use the dryer box to eliminate the elbow at dryer, combined with a long sweep elbow above the ceiling. The combination allowed us to reroute the vent so no additional elbows were required and straight shot out the rear gable. Great solution for tricky situation.

This is well worth the cost. It makes dryer connection a whole lot easier and far more effective in exhausting the air.

Dryerbox without a hole

by Raydean| 7/3/2013 12:00:00 am

I was really shocked when I checked out my clothes dryer vent hose. It was crushed and had a small hole. The store employee had installed our new washer and dryer. The laundry room is very compact. Installing the washer and dryer was a very tight fit. The vent connection was flush with the wall close to the floor. The door to the laundry room could not be closed unless the dryer was pushed back to the rear wall. So when the new dryer on a pedestal was pushed back the vent hose connections did not line up but was forced into a very tight 'S' curve and was crushed. Went online for a solation. The Dryerbox was just what I needed. After cutting into the rear wall it was discovered that the vent pipe was installed on the left side of the stud cavity. All the Dryerboxes had the vent pipe hole on the right side. The staff at IN-O-Vate was very helpful in sending me the Dryerbox without a hole. The local sheet metal shop cut the hole on the top left side. The install went great. My only regret is that I didn’t go for the new model 480. It would have been larger to give the vent hose just a few more inches to align.

Easy Install

by Winonya Drake| 11/14/2011 12:00:00 am

Installing the item was very easy. After installation I was able to texture and paint the item without problems. Actually looks part of the wall, and given I did it myself, (and I'm a girl), I'd say it's a great product. Next house I get will absolutely have one.+

Easy Install

by Montana| 11/14/2013 12:00:00 am

I recently installed the 425 dryerbox into a 2x4 wall that I furred out with 1" strips. The box was sturdy and well-made and fit easily into the modified wall. I did have to add a 2x4 in order to have something to attach the box to on both sides of the box. The instructions for installing were simple and straight-forward. Galvanized pipe fit easily into the "slightly oval hole". Installing this box allowed me to remove a 8x8 sheet rocked box that stuck into my second bathroom which functioned only to house the dryer vent. The 425 dryerbox makes for a much cleaner room and a nicer looking wall. The dryerbox also allowed me to eliminate two 90 degree bends of flexible dryer hose outside the wall to get to the old dryer port. It also eliminated a 90 degree bend at the bottom of the wall. With the dryerbox installed I was able to move the dryer about 4" closer to the wall giving me much needed space in our small laundry area. Highly recommend this product-just wish the original builder would have used 2x6 construction in the first place!

Ever Hear a Woman Squeal with Delight?

by Richard Allocca| 6/1/2012 12:00:00 am

It used to take 120 minutes or more to dry a normal load. We found a completely blocked vent system, causing rapid lint build-up and condensate which leaked destroying the drywall. We 'bumped out" the dryer vent stack with 2x6's installed the Dryerbox, lint trap, and replaced the pipe to the roof. After the installation my wife did NINE LOADS of laundry, squealing with delight: "40 minutes! 30 minutes!" I was impressed, but my wife was amazed, and she doesn't amaze easily.

Great Product, Worth the Money

I won't install a dryer vent without it

Great product and made the USA!

by Brett| 12/23/2013 12:00:00 am

I bought one of these to install in my newly renovated laundry room and I am not disappointed. The product is very fairly priced and very well made. I showed it to my brother and he will be ordering one as well. Thanks for a great product that is Proudly Made In The USA!

great stuff

by terry| 1/31/2015 12:00:00 am

Got the dryer box sooner than expected. Thanks. It was a cinch to install. Instead of a pipe sticking out of the wall, i have the sense that everything is safe and secure. Finished the wall nicely. One suggestion, a template for cutting for the drywall would be an added bonus. i had to calculate freehand but it worked fine too.

Highly recommended!

by Derek| 3/30/2015 12:00:00 am

In a day when companies are thinning out the gauge of steel in cars and other products, this company takes you back in time to when things were built to last. I was very impressed with how solid this product is upon receipt. I have a small laundry room and this will give me 4" of more floor space by putting the machines against the wall. The 4" is a very noticable difference. I installed it by removing a drywall panel in a 2x6 wall and adjusted the framing. Once secured, this panel was not going anywhere. I highly recommend this product because it is built really well.

This item was shipped in a timely manner. This dryer box is much safer than just hooking up the corregated vent piping to an existing exhaust vent. It keeps the exhaust pipe from kinking which will prevent excess pressure coming from the dryer.

This product was everything it was advertised. It was easy to install, well built, and the finished job looked like a pro installed it. This product is well worth the money.

Great product, well constructed. Saves space and has drastically cut the time required to dry a full load of clothes.

Makes a big difference

by richard| 3/24/2014 12:00:00 am

Great product, yes just like some of the reviews, it is pain to install as a retrofit. Would be a lot easier as a new install. But what a big difference , the laundry room looks clean and finished, the dryer sits back closer to wall. would definitely recommend to anyone looking for space and a clean look.

Model 425 Dryerbox

by Jeremy| 2/23/2015 12:00:00 am

The dryer box came just as described, I am adding a new laundry room in my basement and thought this item was a great idea. The installation was fast and easy, the metal frame is strong and does not flex too easily so if you can only screw it on one side and the bottom it is strong enough to stand firmly. I would strongly recommend this product.
