very pleased with this product. easy to install (replaced a 1973 vent) and works as demonstrated. i have already recommended this product to friends and family.

The installation of this vent was extremely easy. The 4" collar fit perfectly into the existing vent - no fitting was required. Total time of installation was less than 10 mins. The magnet pulls the vent closed after dryer vent air shuts off. I used this to replace a existing plastic louver vent that was warped and not closing properly anymore. Great product with quality that will last.

I was looking for a Dryer Wall Vent which would last for lifetime (as opposed to all those plastic vents that are available at the hardware stores). This product exceeded all my expectations. It is extremely sturdy and the magnetic closure mechanism is ingenious. I would definitely recommend this product to everyone.

So far so good. Steel rather than the plastic louver pieces of junk you find in stores. Please ask me in about 2 years how they are working? That is when those plastic ones would die for me. You have to be creative to mount it on vinyl siding. Screws that come with are not long enough and with the door and magnets I could only use 2 to mount the vent. I bought one for my dryer and one for my bathroom exhaust fan. They work better than expected. Well worth their money. Simple design and no back pressure. I wish these would be more commercially marketed so people could buy them in store rather than online. These vents put the plastic ones to shame! I do not know why plastic vents are even allowed to be made, 2-3 years they fall apart from sun exposure unlike these steel ones! Great product!

This WILL be the LAST dryer vent I ever need to buy. Its a sturdy thick metal that is high quality, sleek and smooth so lint will blow right out. I bought it because I have dogs who could chew the cheap plastic vents, this will hold up well. Thanks for a great product.

Thank you for a reasonable priced, well made product. I too was tired of constantly replacing flimsy vent covers that did not close tightly. The dryer vent works perfectly. The one for the bathroom vent needed something to lessen the attraction of the magnets as the blower did not have the strength to break the seal. A piece of tape was all it took and it now works perfectly also.

Best vent! Need to know that this vent fits inside the vent pipe, without the corrogated end. This is important to know before the vent arrives so the pipe could be mounted ahead of time. Why are they not available in the big supply stores yet?

This is a well constructed unit that comes in white or brown. I used brown. We had difficulty attaching to the first piece of pipe but found out the pipe was now sold in a slightly smaller diameter than in the past. Beware of cheap pipe. We found a new piece that was properly sized and it worked out great. The new Samsung washer said no magnetic vents, but this unit has such week magnets that it is not a problem. The pressure sensor nevers kicks in. You can open the lid by lightly blowing!

I used four of these wall vents on a remodel I am doing right now. Three of them for bathroom exhaust fans and one for the dryer. I remodel and build custom homes and often have to replace dented aluminum vents or broken plastic vents that are damaged by the sun or other means. These wall vents are the perfect solution for a long lasting vent cover. I expect it will last 40 to 50 years. Thank you. I like making our clients homes maintenance free.

Looked to repolace my broekn dryer vent for a while. This product seemed to fit the bill perfectly. It was a very easy install and took just minutes to install. It closes securely and no pest can enter. The only negative thing that I can say about this produce it that is works well for flat housing surfaces and not so great against vinyl siding. Since it doesn't sit flush against the siding, you have to use a huge amount of caulking to seal up the gaps. I used plumbers putty around the largest areas and then I used caulking to finish it up. It's hard to have a product to fit each and every need, but this one comes close.

Good tolerances and installed easily. Would have preferred the mounting collar sized to fit over the receiving 4" seamed pipe there-by visibly assuring sufficient connection that can be sealed. Also, as a minor detail, i would have liked to see a positive slope in the metal flange just below the rubber stops to allow for water runoff.

I put a cheapo plastic on during my remodel 3 years ago, painted it so I thought that would help with deterioration.... Wrong.... it fell apart. Luckily I saw this in a mag and took a chance. It is as good advertised, rugged, looks good, easy to install and being able to open it to clean is very handy. Five Stars

I build custom homes, and this dryer wall vent compliments my homes. A very classic style that is far better looking and functional then any of the big store products. Will install one of these in all of my homes.

I am very impressed with the quality of this vent cover - seems like it will last for years. The lid closes very securely; I trust that the dryer vent will always have the ummph to open it, which it seems to.

I have installed 4 vents on my house and I’m in the process of installing vents at every duplex I own!

In the 15 years we've lived in our house, I've replaced the dryer vent at least three times. The aluminum ones are thin stock, cheap and fall apart. The plastic ones get brittle and fall apart because of the heat and cold, winter and summer. Gone are the heavy galvanised metal ones they used to sell. But this one is very nice: well made out of a decent thickness of painted steel. It was all that it was claimed to be on the website and I have no complaints or regrets - and I don't foresee replacing this vent cover in my lifetime. The price is good and I didn't mind paying a little more for UPS to deliver it (instead of having one of those psycopaths from FedEx come to my house).

I went looking to replace my dryer vent and could find nothing but cheap plastic parts made in China. As an supporter of products made in the USA, I went searching for something made in the USA and I'm glad I did. This product may cost a few more dollars, but it will be the last dryer vent I will ever have to mess with.

Just what I was looking for 2 years ago, but did not find. The one I bought then repeatedly clogged with lint. I only installed the In-O-Vate vent 3 weeks ago, but it shows no sign of lint collection.

I can finally stop replacing plastic vents every two or three years.

My home's original dryer vent (which stuck out from the exterior wall as most do) had been chewed to pieces by my new dog. Ditto with the replacement vent I purchased from the local big-box store. This unit is well made, was easy to install, and is flush against the house...dog-proof! I am very please with it.

I had my carpenter install this nice looking flush mount dryer vent. He said it was very easy to install. Not only does it work great, it also is neat looking on my outdoor aluminum siding. I was concerned about it icing up during our harsh snowy winter, but there hasn't been any problem with the flap not opening. I highly recommend it!
