I purchased 4 of these to replace all of my exhaust vents. Installation is easy (a Dremel is a handy tool to have for this), and it looks great. It functions perfectly for my needs. I also bought The Defender Vent cover (8") for extra protection against squirrels and birds). Finished installation looks fantastic and they function as designed. I did have an issue with shipping (do NOT use the UPS option), but Better Venting/Dryerbox really stepped up to help out. The customer service was every bit as good as the product thus far. Extremely happy!

Our previous vent worked well until UV light deteriorated the plastic and it literally fell apart. So, I studied a host of vents before selecting this one. It is simple and it works. It is all metal so I expect it to work for a long time. The flap is inset about a half inch so it should not be accessible to birds.

I Love em and use them often. I wish they supplied them local to avoid steep shipping fee of 15$ or offered a frequent flier discount

I order this product online after I found the Big Box stores offered nothing close to the design of this product. This dryer vent is very good quality and offers a nice clean look. It matches my white aluminum siding very well and was easy to install. Very satisfied with the product. Well worth it for the price

This vent is superb quality and easy to install. Replaced an original aluminum vent that was hit many times over the years by the lawnmower handle. This one mounts flush with the house and hitting it will be nearly impossible. Testing proved the opening and the magnetic closure operations work as designed for the dryer exhaust. Highly recommended unit for appliance exhaust.

The flush mount dryer vent is a great upgrade from the angled vent that I replaced. The airflow is greater which should be more energy efficient for the dryer. The brown color I ordered blends in pretty well with the brick wall and when the dryer is off, it isn't very noticible at all. Nice solid piece with a good paint finish. The design also makes cleaning the vent easier.

Rec'd my dryer wall vent a few days ago but installation was delayed until this morning when the sun finally came out and the rain stopped. I watched your retro-fit video before ordering and must say that really helped this DIYer. However, it took me longer than the 'less than 4 minutes' for installation. After gathering the tools, though, and allowing extra time to clean the lint and caulk from the surrounding bricks, the entire job took a mere 15 minutes... and it looks great! I'm certain it will last many years longer than the plastic and looks far better than anything available at my local stores! Thanks for making this product available to the homeowner.

My neighbor recently installed one in his home and I was very impressed with the difference it made over the original sheet metal aluminum vents that were installed when these homes were built. The cheap, sheet metal vents were installed such that there was only a very small opening between the vent and the outer wall surface, creating an annoying whining noise whenever a dryer was being used (you can hear them all whining down the block). Problem solved with the dryer wall vent from DryerBox. So when it came time to replace our dryer unit last month, I upgraded to this wall vent as well. The metal frame is very rigid and attractively finished with powder coat, the unit is easy to install, and is actually fun to watch in action when the positive pressure from the dryer exhaust gently lifts the damper. I am very satisfied with this product and feel that it is a quality, affordable upgrade to our home.

Looked at lots of options to close off vent no longer being used due to design of new appliances. This was a fabulous solution! Clean looking, easy to use, keeps critters out, and should we ever sell the house, this would work for any new owner who wanted to "open" it back up for their use. Win-win!

I hated the big white hooded design of the new vent that was just installed with our new dryer, and against used brick. So I went searching for something more attrctive. I only care how things look, and my husband only cares how things work, but we found this vent that fit both our requirements! It looks fine against the brick wall, and was easy to install and so far is working great! And I could probably paint on it to look like brick if I want to go that far...

I like this vent. It looks so much nicer than the metal ones that stick out from the wall. It allows easy access to the dryer duct. It is difficult to open from the outside when not in use.....which is a very good thing as it keeps animals and bugs out. I use a small magnet to pull it open when I check for lint build-up.

Used this product to replace an existing dryer vent and existing bathroom fan vent. They have now been installed and both work great and look great. Can't speak highly enough about the nice finish and great design of these vents. Highly recommend this product! Note: I also installed a new bathroom fan at the same time. It is rated at 80 cfms and that was plenty enough to open this vent (probably to around a 30 degree angle when the fan was on). But if you are trying to vent one of those older cheapie bathroom fans that only pushes 50 cfms, I don't think that would be enough air to move the vent. So I think anything above say 70 cfms or higher for a bathroom fan would be enough for this product to operate properly. Caveat emptor!

Have not installed yet but don't for see any problems. Very well made heavy unit not like the cheap Box store ones, plus USA made thank you.

This is a solid product with a nice paint job and finish. This is nothing like you typically find at "big box" or hardware stores. Installation was easy. I have had the vent for only a few weeks. Looks like it should hold up to the sun, wind and weather.

The vent arrived lightning fast and was packaged extremely well. The vent feels of very substantial quality. The vent has a collar that allowed me to attach the exhaust pipe to securely. Once installed I was unable to open it from outside with just my fingers, which makes it feel very secure. When the dryer operates the vent opens at about a 45 degree angle and allows all exhaust and lint to route out of my house. The dark brown was a perfect color match. The vent was a little more expensive then the cheap plastic ones on the market, but in my opinion it's worth the investment.

For the most part I am happy with the quality and construction of the vent. It works well. If I could tell the designer to change anything, the predrilled screw holes need to be farther from the 4 inch hole for brick installation. The holes cracked out because they were too close to the vent hole. I would still buy this unit again.

I have a brick bungalow that came with a cheap metal dryer vent from the 80s that was near the end of its usefulness. The flap had all but rotted away and it was separating from the exterior brick. I put off replacing it because I dreaded having to replace pipe through the brickwork or cut something to fit. I discovered the flushmount dryer vent sold by Dryerbox while searching the internet for solutions. Everything at my local big box store seemed like a one-to-one replacement of the existing vent, and I wanted something that would last. The Dryerbox vent was just what I was looking for. Solid metal construction, and the flap with the magnets works beautifully. I cut away the other dryer vent and fit the new one into the existing 4" pipe. Perfect snug fit. There wasn't enough surrounding brick for me to screw into, but no big deal - a clear caulk perfectly secured the vent to the exterior brick. I added more caulk around the edges and Bob's your uncle, I've got a fantastic-looking, sturdy-built vent that keeps the cold air and pests out while venting flawlessly when the dryer's running. I don't think I'll ever have to replace this one - the powder coated steel should hold up well to any damp air coming from the dryer. Thanks for making an excellent product!

Superior quality, easy to install, perfect flush mount, looks and operation

This is a great product, I was not going to order because of price but I sure am glad I did. The previous dryer vent and bathroom fan exhaust vent flapped open and close from the high wind in the valley, I replaced and cleaned the flaps several times over the years with no resolution, these flaps would pound like someone hitting the house with a hammer. Warps would also make nests in these old vents flap openings. The metal vents work great the ponding is gone, and they were easy to install, installed both in under an hour and no more warps.

Worth every penny! Easy to install, fantastic flush look. My clients are very detailed orientated. This is also the save all for retro fitting existing situations. I have used it on bathroom exhaust fan as well with not issues

This vent was everything I hoped it would be. It came as advertised and was very simple to install. I installed it as a retrofit and I did not have to change the piping configuration to do so. I would recommend this device/product to anyone wanting a quality product! JP
