Install was very clean, the units we purchased were well accepted by our contractor as to simple and clean lined, should last a lifetime. Only drawback was of course the higher cost but they are a fine product. Should include at least a token set of install screws for this money.

Seriously, why do they even make that plastic-finned or aluminum garbage? Or the big plastic birdhouse-looking things? This works perfectly, will last forever, and looks great. You will not find a better product. I do wish they made it in a brick red color, but I bought the tan because the white is constantly sold out. I'm glad I did, the tan looks better than the white against my brick.

I purchased the metal dryer wall vent because it looks great and works simple. It is heavier than most other vents and will last forever.

Finally someone has brought some quality construction to this specialized yet ubiquitous item. I was used to replacing dryer vents every couple of years due to the cheap plastic or sheet metal designs available. This vent is much superior to the others, and I am hoping that it will last a commensurately longer time.Got a brick or block wall, be sure to get the PVC mounting block.

Great solution to a most aggravating problem. We had tried 'all' of the conventional 'big box' remedies, but they just clogged up or allowed lint to collect on the wood siding of our house. The Dryerbox was the solution! Well made product & easy installation...recommend it highty!

I have been looking for a vent to replace the old louvered vent that was installed for some time. I really like this vent. Looks great. Works great. Installed on older home with vinyl siding. The vent was larger than the old louvered vent requiring adjustment of the mounting space. I think it would have been easier and more efficient if the collar was sized as a female so the 4" pipe from the dryer slid into the collar instead of around the outside. Overall very pleased.

The old hood style dryer vent at our place was still in good shape but on the windy side of the house (we're in KS) and the lightweight aluminum flapper would start banging with every gust of wind. To make matters worse the dryer vent is by the dining room and the noise was so loud it would interrupt conversations. I tried taping a penny to the flapper to weigh it down but when that did't work I set out to our local hardware stores looking for a better (quieter) model. All I found were units with the same lightweight flapper design or even worse cheap plastic vents. On a particularly windy (and noisy) afternoon I turned to the computer for help. I found several websites that directed me to this heavy duty dryer vent. I read the specs watched the video and placed my order. The new dryer vent has been installed for almost 3-weeks now and so far no noise! It is completely quiet in even the strongest of winds. I am very happy with it. I will say that when in operation the dryer vent flap doesn't fly up 90 degrees like the video. It's closer to 40 degrees or roughly the same opening angle of the old hood but then my dryer is very old and probably has a longer vent pipe. Either way it opens up at least as much as the old hooded model could if not a bit more.

I saw this vent advertised in the JLC. This very well made unit replaced a big-box store unit made of plastic that was only a few years old that had already yellowed and cracked. The Premium Flush-mount Metal Dryer Wall Vent is exactly that and worth every penny. It was a breeze to install and it works great. I also appreciate it being very flush mounted. I would recommend this unit to anyone wanting to install/replace a vent.

I just purchased the flush-mount wall vent to move the dryer & washer to a new room I just built. Because the vent is located 7 feet off the ground I did not want a grate over the front to collect lint & me needing to clean it every 2 weeks. The flap stays sealed when not in use & I'll let you know in a few years how the coating stands up. The unit was extremely easy to install & looks good.

Very well engineered and constructed to be simple, rust-free, opening easily (efficient), and closing completely (rodent/snake barrier). Surprise for me: When I removed my old plastic vent, the original hole in the block wall was revealed to be very irregular. Mounting the new vent would be impossible without a mounting block. I had seen the optional block provided by In-O-Vate on the web site, so I just made a similar one out of 1" Trex planking. Then I had to make a 1/4" thick rubber gasket out of a recycled rubber welcome mat, sealing it with silicon seal. The vent works great - it was exactly what I needed and the quality was exactly as advertised.

This vent is very well made and top quality, unlike many other dryer vents available today from other sources. We have sold these to a number of our customers with good reviews and I installed one on my own home. Well worth the investment!

Since last fall I bought four dryer vents from this company. It was a pleasure to deal with them. The product is excellent and easy to install. Why four? I have three children and they also liked the vents especially since I paid for them.

Outstanding quality and easily worth the money. My only suggestion is that they sell an adapter that would allow for installing this over a 4" crimped vent pipe end. Having the vent fit inside an existing vent pipe makes sense in most retrofit cases but I was installing the pipe at the same time so I did what another reviewer suggested and just crimped the pipe end a bit more so it fit inside.

Works great. Keeps rats out. Easy install.

NOT made in China obviously. It is hard to find quality products like this these days. So tired of the thin sheet metal and plastic parts that are destroyed by the time you get it installed. Will be recommending to all my friends. Thank You Dryerbox!

This is much better product than the normal plastic ones you will find in the home improvement stores. It is very sturdy. I believe it will last much longer than the plastic ones. It also has a very low profile and looks nice on the outside of my house.

I would not call this a premium product.The circle hole that you insert the exhaust pip was out of round. Made installation a lot harder than it had to be. Better quality control would have eliminated this problem

Terrific product - much better than the cheap tin stuff found in the big-box stores.

I installed this vent as a retrofit after another company's builder grade vent failed. The retrofit aspect was important since I didn't want to tear out a brick wall to reattach. The vent is a quality constructed part. It's attachment matched well with the existing pipe and the install was easy overall. Finished install looks good and works well. The sealing when not in use is excellent. Highly recommend this part. Had to order from manufacturer because its too new to be in stock locally...but that should change in the next few weeks. Worth waiting for if you have to have it shipped :)

After replacing 2 plastic vents, I was searching for something better. Found it in Fine Home Building magazine. Very impressed with construction quality. Cannot speak to longevity at this time, but I expect it to last a long time. Had to order directly as no one carried locally.

I purchased to tan Premium Flush-mount Metal Dryer Wall Vents. We have a dryer vent on our second floor that is no longer in use. We moved the laundry to the basement. There was a large bees nest in the unused existing dryer vent on the second floor. The next owner may want to relocate the laundry to the second floor. So I searched long and hard for a vent that would not be an eyesore on the side of the house. I bought 2 to replace the unused vent and the one that we currently use. These vents will solve my bee/rodent problem on the unused vent because the door is magnetized shut. The both look great, the are flush with the siding and very durable. I am stupid when it comes to fixing/repairing things and I installed both my self. Very easy. I might buy another one for the bathroom exhaust fan vent pipe. They are a great quality and look even better.
