Love this item. I have a whitish brick house and this vent looks really good against the brick. It's well made and easy to install. I also bought one for our church school to replace the one that the critters loved to eat. I doubt is they will be eating this one. Thanks for a well built product. Bruce

This is a solid, well built piece like things used to be. Wish there were more products in the world like this, instead of the big box store lowest common denominator cheap junk that has proliferated the shelves these days.

I have installed this in my own home and recommended to my customers-this product is WELL worth the cost.

After seeing an ad in Fine Homebuilding, I purchased this to replace my cheap plastic vent which was broken and sloppily installed. This new vent looks great and functions better than the plastic cheapies. My advice is to plan your project. Think about how you might mount this vent, like using a mounting block, and how you will seal the vent through your opening and around the outside. It is a quality product and deserves the best installation. Make sure you do it right!

We just had our house resided. Installed the Dryer wall vent with ease. Looks great, fits perfect and operates smooth. Love it. Recommended it to our friends. We called a couple of times Customer Service couldn't be better.

I bought this after returning a similar product sold by Home Depot. The HD product has a hinged flap that is just too wimpy to stay flat and seal properly to prevent cold air from leaking in during our -30 F winter conditions. I was hoping for a sturdier hinged door on the In-O-Vate product. Alas, it suffers from the same issue. The door is just not stiff enough to stay flat and seal tightly against the magnets. The concept is great, but it could be improved!

That something so simple and yet so well designed, manufactured and delivered were available in BLACK, to match my other vents!

Installed DB425 box with pipe and elbow 2 years ago. Replaced previous installed vent termination, ball type previously bought from In-O-Vate in new construction installation. Much cleaner look on Lap Sided house. Video was helpful in what need to do to retrofit, adjusting pipe termination. Need to include SS washer headed screws to help with install, but not a big deal. High quality product, dryer seems happier too.

Tried several options with off the shelf vent covers, but all were flimsy sheet metal that didn't come close to fitting correctly. Because this is designed to fit inside existing dryer vents, it was a perfect fit. And because it's so well made, it's unlikely to ever wear out. A little pricey? Maybe, but I wasted more than that just trying to get something else to work.

Here is my best unbiased review: 1) construction- 10 out-of 10 2) finish- 10 out-of 10 3) Weather Tightness 3 out-of 10 Unit does not seal out cold weather. Plastic- Both Louvered and Standard Damper vents seal much better. Considering the price of this unit and the engineering that goes into the product, it is disappointing to see that they made no considerations for the basic function to keep out the cold air!

good easy t o install works great

Excellent quality dryer vent-excellent look!

I installed this a couple of months ago and I've been very happy with it. I bought a vinyl mounting block at the big box store and opened up a hole for the dryer vent. That gave me an installation with no gaps between the siding and the dryer vent. I used the dremel method they recommend but I think you could just use a set of offset tinsnips. So far it works great. I thought there might be a problem with icing, but haven't seen it even in really cold weather. And unlike the cheesy plastic ones you get at the big box store it closes tight and won't be warped and trashed in a few years.

This is a great quality product that is well engineered. The shipping was quick and I was shocked at the heavy-duty nature of the construction. It took a little time to install as the builder flared out the 4' vent pipe causing it to be out of round. I will have no problem with it staying put without the use of mounting screws. The safety aspect of the product balances out the high cost. After winter I will inspect to see how any lint build up affects the operation of the door. I will mention this to my condo association if the product meets my expectations and may be soon buying one for my lake cottage. Reviewed by Virginia from Grand Rapids, MI. on 11/8/2014

This is by far the best dryer vent on the market, would highly recommend to anyone. Would be nice if it were more available in stores. A little bit pricey after paying for shipping.

The dryer vent is a well-built product, and installs just easy as the videos show it to be. Had I not had to fix the last piece of ductwork, the install would have taken less than 20 minutes.

This is a well made good looking product. It is simple to install with only a few hand tools. This will replace the plastic dryer vent cover that disintegrate every 3 years in the hot southwestern sun.

I had the cheaper plastic dryer vent and when I was trying to clean it out the plastic shattered from years of hot/cold/hot/cold...I saw this and it sounded like a high quality product that would hold up well. It was very easy to install, I went the adhesive route as it was much easier since the exterior is brick. It does seem to speed up the dry time. Cosmetically it looks great as our dryer vent is in the front of the house, it blends in nicely...the plastic white one looked horrible. All in all, very helpful and the customer service team was great too. I had a couple questions regarding installation and they responded quickly providing me the answers I needed. If you want a high quality good looking product, this is the best dryer vent I have seen. For $25 you cannot go wrong.

My husband installed this dryer vent in very little time. This all metal heavy duty vent looks like it should hold up over time better than the plastic ones we had in the past which deteriorated and cracked. Also the plastic ones had a cage to keep out rodents which would get clogged with lint. This vent has no cage as it is not needed with the flush closing magnetic flap. Nothing is protruding from the wall which gives it a sleeker look and, I feel, helps keep rodents and insects out. It works as advertised. The flap opens when the dryer is in use and closes when not and the magnets hold it closed. I would recommend this product.
